How much will I get paid at Job Corps?

Information summarized from handbook:

Basic living allowance, biweekly payments in cash. Amount determined by number of days enrolled.

Days 1-56 – $25 per pay period (every other week)

Days 57-112 – $30 per pay period

Days 113-182 – $40 per pay period

Days 183+ – $50 per pay period

AWOL days, unpaid personal days, and administrative leave days are not paid. Fines are automatically deducted from your pay.


Transition payment, paid when separating from the program. Amount determined by achievements while enrolled.

Graduate with CTT completion only (No GED or HS Diploma) –  $750

Graduate with CTT completion AND GED or HS Diploma – $1200


Survey completion payments (after graduation), payment to keep in touch.

90-120 day survey – $10

6-month survey – $15

12-month survey – $20

    Im a student completer as of today… i only got a check for $383 :(

      Hi Antoinette,

      My time at Job Corps was several years ago, and there may be many details on this blog that are now outdated. There are also other factors that may have detracted from your check, such as fines, bills, or other fees that are owed for various goods or services during your time there.
